Fall Sports Spring Sports
Girls Basketball (Varsity & J.V.)
Grade Level: 9-12
Duration: Mid November-Mid March
Practices: 5 days per week 4-6 p.m.
Description: An up-tempo style of girls' basketball involving hard work, sweat, fun, socialization and rewarding experiences.  
Competitions: Approximately two games per week including Saturday games and the Holiday Tournament  
Coach: Varsity: Mr. Licari, J.V.: Ms. Smith
Getting Involved: Attend pre-season meetings and the first day of practice; contact girls' basketball coaches.  
Sophomore Girls Basketball
Duration: Mid November-Mid February
Practices: 5 days per week 4-6 p.m.
Description: Competitive interscholastic basketball
Competitions: Approximately one game per week.
Coach: Ms. Schueth
Getting Involved: Attend pre-season meetings and the first day of practice; contact girls' basketball coaches.  
9A & 9B Girls Basketball
Duration: Mid November-Mid February
Practices: Daily – will be announced by coach
Description: Two teams. This activity is open to all freshmen girls. Activity involves practices and basketball games.  
Competitions: Games begin in December and run approximately 2 per week.
Coach: A team: Ms. Nelsen , B team: Mr. Tomasevicz
Getting Involved: An organizational meeting is always held the Wednesday prior to the beginning of the season in early November. Attend this meeting or contact one of the coaches.  
Boys & Girls Swimming/Diving
Grade Level: 9-12
Duration: Mid November-Late February
Practices: After school is required, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Description: Learn and compete in different swimming strokes and/or diving from the one meter board.  
Competitions: Swim meets are scheduled once or twice per week.
Coach: Ms. Boeding & Ms. Ehrenberg
Getting Involved: Attend pre-season meetings and the first day of practice.
Additional Information: Summer and fall programs are also available.
Boys Basketball (Varsity and J.V.)
Grade Level: 9-12
Duration: Mid November-Mid March
Practices: Daily (6 days per week)
Description: Varsity, J.V., Sophomore, Freshman competitive interscholastic basketball
Competitions: Approximately two games per week including Saturday games and the Holiday Tournament.  
Coach: Varsity: Mr. Hiebner, J.V.: Mr. Bock
Getting Involved: Contact any of the basketball coaches.
Additional Information: Try-outs (skill level, attitude)
Sophomore Boys Basketball
Duration: Mid November-Mid February
Practices: Practices Monday-Friday to be announced
Description: Competitive interscholastic basketball.
Competitions: One or two games per week
Coach: Mr. Petersen
Getting Involved: Contact any of the basketball coaches.
9A & 9B Boys Basketball
Duration: Mid November-Mid February
Practices: M-T-Th-F 5:15-7:30; W 5:15-6:30; Saturdays as needed
Description: Two teams. Top 10-12 boys comprise the A squad with the rest being the B squad. This activity is open to all freshmen boys. Activity involves practices and basketball games.  
Competitions: Games begin in December and run approximately 2 per week (Tuesday/Thursday)  
Coach: A: Mr. Mueller and B: Mr. Wemhoff
Getting Involved: Contact coach during month of October.
Additional Information: Players try out during the first week of practice.
Wrestling
Grade Level: 9-12
Duration: Mid November-Late February
Practices: Practice 4–6 p.m. daily.
Description: Varsity, J.V., 9th grade
Competitions: 1-3 events per week.
Coach: Mr. Benson
Getting Involved: Informational meeting in fall. Contact a coach.
Additional Information: There are 14 weight classes ranging from 103 pounds to heavyweight.
9th Wrestling
Duration: Mid November-Late February
Practices: Daily 4-6 p.m.
Description: No experience necessary. Will teach basic wrestling fundamentals, rules and team attitudes. How well you do will depend upon your commitment.  
Competitions: Usually compete about once per week, including dual meets and tournaments. A wrestler will have 12-16 matches.  
Coach: Mr. Hofer
Getting Involved: Attend organizational meeting the first week of November. Look for
announcements in school.
 
Additional Information: There are 15 weight classes. The freshman wrestling program is designed to work with any individual regardless of his experience in the sport. Beginners are encouraged to become involved; success cannot be guaranteed, but with weight training and the mental qualities of this sport, increases in physical strength and mental capabilities should occur. Equipment is shirt, shorts and wrestling shoes.
