center program is to provide students and staff access to information
and integrated instruction of information skills.
Book Fair Huge Success
To everyone who came to our Book Fair and helped make it a great experience, a big thank you! The fair was a success. Our sale this year was approximately $2,400. This is an increase over last year of $600.00. The money raised helps to build our library as well as classroom libraries. We currently have approximately 35 new books in the library or classrooms. That’s not all, we are in the process of asking teachers for a wish list of books, which could be purchased with leftover profits.
Something new this year was the “One for Books” promotion. Patrons of the book fair were asked if they would like to donate $1.00 to help build our library. This promotion generated $85.00. A big thank you to our students. They enjoyed being a part of helping to build our library a dollar at a time. These funds go directly to purchasing our books. Scholastic also matches the “One for Books” dollars by making donations to non-profit organizations.
Thank you again for your support of the Book Fair!

Click here to access The Emerson
Library Catalog.
Here you can look up materials in Emerson's library by title,
author, keyword, and series. You can also look up AR books by
getting into the Emerson
Elementary Library, click on the, Search Reading
Programs arrow and choose, Accelerated Reader then
click in the "from" Reading Level box
and type in a reading level (your child should know what reading
levels they can choose from, if not, have them, or their teacher,
write their reading level range in their planner for you) Then
click in the "to" box to the right and type in that
same reading level number (eg. Reading Level from 2.3 to 2.3)
hit the return/enter key on your keyboard and you will get a
list of AR books at that level. Leave the numbers in the
point value boxes the way they are. We want students to get books
at their reading level, not books with a certain point value.
