Introduction

Thank you for visiting
my web site!
I am Peg Rupprecht, the school
counselor at West Park, Centennial, and Duncan Schools.
I am here for your
children and welcome your calls!
I have a Master of
Arts Degree in counseling from University of Nebraska
at Lincoln
and a Master of Arts Degree in Elementary Education
from Hastings College,
Hastings, Nebraska.

Counseling
Services

|
Counseling Services include:
1) Counsel
Assist individual students with educational and personal
concerns (such as attention strategies, behavioral interventions,
goal setting, adjustment issues, social skills)
Facilitate small groups focusing on a common concern (friendship,
school adjustment, changes in the family, anger management,
conflict resolution)
Provide support for a large group of students experiencing
grief or trauma through the district Crisis Team.
2) Consult
Provide staff with resources and information to help with
student needs
Observe classrooms to gather information, identify problems,
and develop plans to increase learning
Share information with parents (resources and community agencies)
Work closely with the team (parents, school staff, and community
agencies) to help students
3) Teach
Collaborate with classroom teachers on curriculum areas related
to counselors skills (bullying, interpersonal concerns)

Obtaining Services

The following methods can be used to contact me for obtaining
services.
Parents
(short note, email Peg.Rupprecht@cps-ne.org,
note in the childs
agenda, call to the secretary or principal)
Children (request to a teacher, self referral to the counselors
mailbox located by the south door)
I am able to see a child one time without parental permission,
but will contact parents for written permission for any other
individual or group sessions. Times for those sessions are
selected to accommodate the classroom learning of the student. |
