West Park enjoyed a fun filled Family Night of Book Bingo on February 24th. We began our evening with a light supper followed by numerous games of Bingo. Students and their families won books during each round of Bingo. All children who attended Book Bingo went away with a book to add to their home library. Our evening was a great success with over 200 participants!
During the week of February 28, West Park will celebrate Read Across America Week. Mrs. Roberts planned several special events for our students to enjoy during the week. Each day has a special theme such as “Fox in Socks” – Wear wacky socks and enjoy story time with a buddy reading. Or “What Pet Should I Get?”- Wear animal print or anything with animals on it. We will wrap our week up on Friday with, “The Cat in the Hat” and an afternoon of fun games and activities. Each teacher in our building will host a session where the kids will play a game or do an art activity. Students will choose 2 sessions to participate in at the end of the day. West Park is looking forward to the fun week we have planned with our student and community!
