On March 8th, West Park 4th graders traveled to Central Community College to take part in the CPS Annual College and Career Day.
This year students had the opportunity to learn more about careers from the Nebraska Career & Technical Education Model.

Craig Potthast, Central Community College representing skilled & technical sciences. Mr. Potthast discussed how to manufacture plastics and showed students how to melt down plastic, put it into molds and create new items.
Isaiah May, Columbus Public Schools representing Communication & Information Systems. Mr May taught the students about his job and demonstrated green screen technology.
Steve Kohl, Alpha Media representing Business, Marketing & Management. Mr Kohl taught the students about his job and the marketing that the radio stations do for other businesses.
