Emerson Elementary School is centrally located in Columbus. Approximately 235 students attend Preschool through Fourth Grades in a two-story facility built in 2001.
There are two classrooms for each grade level K – 4 and one preschool classroom serving two sessions.
Emerson is equipped with a computer lab, media center, and full-size gym. The building meets ADA requirements by offering an elevator to its second floor. Programs available at Emerson include English as a Second Language, Title 1 Reading, Special Education, Library Media/Technology classes, Speech, Music, and Physical Education. An enhanced audio/speaker system is provided in classrooms to assist students with hearing disabilities.
