7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens

It's time to show some openness - parenting teenagers is hard! Developing highly capable students is the goal for CPS, and I know it's the goal of every parent in our school district. As we move to using the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People as our foundation for the Leader in Me adoption, I am providing a resource that parents may want to consider. I'm able to provide you with a link with support material for "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens". A graphic novel version is also available through other sources for purchase.
I am a parent of three. During their teenage years, we talked and worked together to focus on two habits: Begin With The End in Mind (Goals) and Put First Things First (Setting Priorities). For each parent/child relationship, it might be something different. For us, using these two habits to build a foundation for their personal growth and future success was important - it wasn't always easy or perfect. Finding even one item to share and focus on can make a world of difference.
We are all in this together!
