The Lost Creek Eagles flew by its fundraising goal this week.
Health and Fitness teacher Mr. Tomasevicz set a goal for his students to raise $4,500 for the Kids Heart Challenge, an initiative sponsored in part by the American Heart Association.
They took in $11,854.05.
"Our goal was lower this year, but the kids came through, and we blitz our old school best of $5,931.29 that we earned back in 2016-2017," Tomasevic said. "We had 149 kids register or raise money for the American Heart Association for Heart research and education. Just tremendous."
Tomasevicz didn't quite give the shirt off his back to the efforts. Rather, he sacrificed it for a good cause. Students who raised $150 or more got to pour slime on their teacher.
