Due to COVID-19 safety practices, our PTO was not able to have our annual, "Family Pumpkin Decorating" night. Typically, when we do this, we pick a night close to Halloween, families bring their own pumpkins and the PTO buys decorating supplies for families to decorate their own pumpkins together.
The North Park PTO still wanted to do something for our students and instead, the PTO has brought pumpkins to us! They created the "North Park PTO Pumpkin Patch"! Each classroom took turns going out to the trailer with every student getting a chance to pick out a pumpkin. The students then went back to their classrooms and decorated their pumpkins in the classroom. This took the place of both our annual pumpkin decorating family night and our classroom Halloween parties. Just because COVID-19 has not allowed us to do some of our normal activities, we will continue to get creative and try to find ways to still give our students many similar experiences.
