CMS Cheer

Did you know that Columbus Middle School offers Cheerleading as a school activity?

We were one of the first middle schools in the state to offer this and now other middle schools are starting up their own programs.

CMS Cheer started in 2012 as an after school club and has grown to be a school sponsored activity. CMS Cheer works to support the growth and success of the CHS Cheer team.

The main focus of the team is to demonstrate “Leadership through School Spirit.”

CMS Cheer helps to support the football, volleyball, wrestling and basketball teams by cheering at home games. CMS Cheerleading meets year round to learn new skills, participate in team building activities outside of school, and community service projects.  CMS Cheer consists of 20-25, sixth- through eighth-grade members each year with head coach Jess Spilker, as well as CHS Cheerleaders as volunteer assistants.

Columbus truly offers a 6-12 Cheerleading experience.
