Columbus Public Schools will be in session on Friday, January 23, 2026 despite the forecasted cold temperatures.
Our schools provide a warm, safe environment for students, and all buildings will be heated and monitored throughout the day. Buses will run as planned.
We understand that families may have concerns about the cold weather conditions. Parents and guardians are always empowered to make the decision that is best for their child regarding school attendance. Parents/Guardians, if you choose to keep your students home due to weather concerns, please contact the child's school to report the absence.
Schools will have alternative indoor activities instead of outdoor activities on Friday, January 23, 2026.
