They dig it!: Students meet Native American Archaeologist

Centennial 4th grade students had a great opportunity to listen to a Native American Archaeologist who lives right here in Columbus.

Mr. Roger Seefeld is a Columbus resident who spends his pastime looking for Native American artifacts. He started this passion when he was around 10 years old and has been digging for around 60 years. Roger digs in a 60-mile radius around Columbus, all of his artifacts have been found within that radius. Mr. Seefeld has found buffalo skulls, arrow heads, pottery, jewelry, music instruments, tomahawks, a mammoth tooth, and so much more.

The students found his collection astonishing and really enjoyed learning from Mr. Seefeld and looking at all the amazing artifacts.
