Columbus Public Schools singers earned several honors at the 2019 Nebraska A Cappella Championships. This is the first year for the competition and it was held at CHS with 12 ensembles competing. The CHS group, Neptune’s Angels, edged out Pirate Radio from Brownnell Talbot School 190 to 189 out of a possible 210 to land first best overall. The best overall soloist and best junior high soloist was CMS eighth grader Alyva Williams from the group Vocal Tech. Bringing home best soloist in Class A was CHS senior Reagan Gausman for her performance with New World Singers. Neptune’s Angels also walked away with Best Class A Ensemble and Best Small Ensemble. The CMS group, Vocal Tech, took best Junior High Ensemble. New World Singers finished fourth best overall earning 187 points. Congratulations to all our participations and making us proud to be Discoverers!
