If you are interested in the culinary field of study, you should sign up for the Metro Community College/Catering Creation field trip on February 2nd.  This is a full-day trip and space is limited.   Contact Ms. Long or Ms. Seehusen for more details and a permission slip if interested.  This field trip is open to grades 10 and 11.


If you are interested in athletic, sports training, and other activity-based health fields; you should sign up for the trip to UNO along with an athletic gym in the Omaha area on January 30th.  This is a full-day field trip and space is limited.   Contact Ms. Field, Ms. Plance, or Mr. Sander for more details if interested.  This field trip is open to all grade levels.


If you are interested in the fields of mental health, social work, or law; you should sign up for the local tour of social service agencies on January 31st.  This is a full-day field trip and space is limited.  Contact Ms. Spale, Ms. Hill, or Ms. Gable for more details.   This field trip is open to all grade levels.


 Attention, sophomores, juniors, and seniors! Join us on Wednesday, January 24th for the Local Business Tours Field Trip!  Complete the permission form by January 22nd, and return it to Ms. Sayers, Ms. Seehusen, or Ms. Bastian. Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to explore entrepreneurship and business!


STRIVE tutoring will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45-5PM in the IMC for the semester.   If a student wants a one-on-one tutoring session with a specific STRIVE tutor the student must fill out the QR code on the flyers hanging in the hallway and classrooms.   Once they fill out the form, a school counselor will contact them to set up an introduction meeting with a STRIVE tutor.   Monday, Friday and Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM, and Thursday AM STRIVE sessions are appointment only this semester.  Questions?  Contact Ms. Seehusen

  • Students: If you are bringing a non-CHS student to the winter informal dance, you will need to complete the guest permission form. These forms are available in the office from Ms. Maass. They are due no later than before school on Wednesday, January 24. In addition, please remember that your fines must be paid and your owed detention time must be below 180 minutes; unless you are a senior with 1st semester minutes which then need to be 0, to attend the dance. Questions, please see Ms. Maass.

  • Students: Let's pack the shipyard on Friday, January 26 for senior night. The first 250 students starting at the girls game will receive free pizza.
  • There will be an informational meeting for girls soccer on Friday, January 26th after school in room G138 in Coach Wayman's room. Contact Coach Wayman if you have any questions or can't attend. 
  • Juniors & Senior Students who are enrolled in a class that is available for dual-credit courses:  registration forms are due to the counseling office by this Friday, 1/26.  
    If you are unsure if you want to take a course for dual-credit, please reach out to your counselor.  Tuition costs are very low and Scholarships are available.

Saturday, January 27

  • Winter Informal is this Saturday from 9:00 to 12:00.  The games include bubble soccer, dodge ball, Mario Kart, and more. Names will be drawn at the end of the night for the prizes which include an iPad, Air Pod PROs, 2 JBL speakers, and a $100 Wal-Mart gift card! Please know that you must be present to win.  You must bring your ticket and ID to get into the dance.
