 STRIVE tutoring will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45-5PM in the IMC for the semester.   If a student wants a one-on-one tutoring session with a specific STRIVE tutor the student must fill out the QR code on the flyers hanging in the hallway and classrooms.   Once they fill out the form, a school counselor will contact them to set up an introduction meeting with a STRIVE tutor.   Monday, Friday and Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM, and Thursday AM STRIVE sessions are appointment only this semester.  Questions?  Contact Ms. Seehusen.


Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors:   If you are interested in attending Northeast Community College, or just want to check it out, you should attend Hawk Day on February 20.  At this college event, you will experience a campus tour including the cafeteria; and meet current students. Get your Permission slip from Ms. Seehusen, Ms. Wallin or Mr. Sander.

Students and Staff

The IMC WILL BE CLOSED all next week, February 19-23, due to testing.  

Because the IMC must be a closed, private testing location that is not disturbed, students will not be allowed to enter the IMC during testing for any reason. All IMC business will need to take place before or after school. Tech assistance will continue at the window.

  • All juniors: The current Junior class (2025) and HR teachers need to come to the auditorium on Monday, 2/12/2024, during homeroom for the 2024-2025 Registration process instructions from the 12th-grade counselor.
  • All Sophomores: The current Sophomore class (2026) and HR teachers need to come to the auditorium on Monday, 2/12/2024, during homeroom for the 2024-2025 registration process instructions from the 11th-grade counselor.
  • There will be no STRIVE tutoring after school beginning February 12-15, 2024.
  • C-town Showdown is happening Monday (12th) and Tuesday (13th) during homeroom. Here are the details:
            Monday, 12th -- Seniors and Freshmen -- enter the small gym from the lunch room.   

                 Tuesday, 13th -- Juniors and Sophomores -- go to the small gym after 3rd or 4th period.

Tuesday, January 13

  • There will be no STRIVE tutoring after school beginning February 12-15, 2024.
  • The FCCLA parent meeting has been postponed from Tuesday, February 6 to Tuesday, February 13, at 6:30pm in Ms Jaixen's room for any FCCLA member who is interested in attending State Leadership Conference. 
  • All Freshmen: The current Freshman class (2027) and HR teachers need to come to the auditorium on Tuesday, 2/13/2024, during homeroom for the 2024-2025 registration process instructions from the 10th-grade counselor.
  • C-town Showdown is happening Tuesday (13th) during homeroom. Here are the details:
                   Tuesday, 13th -- Juniors and Sophomores -- go to the small gym after 3rd or 4th period.
  • Following Tuesday night's basketball game against Lincoln Southeast (February 13), Intramurals is hosting a free-throw contest for any non-basketball player in the aux gym.  There will be a male and female division and is completely free to participate. 

Wednesday, January 14

  • There will be no STRIVE tutoring after school beginning February 12-15, 2024.
  • The Winter Activity pep rally will be held on Wednesday, February 14, from 9:50 a.m. to 10:19 a.m.
    At the conclusion of second period, students should go directly to the main gym. Students will sit in their assigned grade levels. At the conclusion of the pep rally, students will go to their third period class. Parents & Guardians, if you would like to attend, you may arrive at 9:40am and sit on the SE side of the gym.

Thursday, January 15

  • There will be no STRIVE tutoring after school beginning February 12-15, 2024.
  • Attention Sophomores and Juniors: Auditions for the CHS Captain's Chorale Choir are being accepted Monday, February 5 through Thursday, February 15.  Auditions can be completed online or by signing up outside the choir room.  Students should check Google Classroom or reach out to Mr. Ritter for more information.

  • ATTENTION JUNIORS:  If you want to learn more about dual credit opportunities for summer and senior year, please sign up to attend an information session on February 28th in the IMC during homeroom.  Sign ups can be found in your google classroom as well as fliers found around school.
    Also any current sophomore or junior interested in finding out more about a new dual-credit pathway opportunity for Early Childhood should complete the sign-up found in your google classroom as well as on QR codes on fliers hanging around the building. Contact Mrs. Loeffelholz with questions.
