 STRIVE tutoring will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45-5PM in the IMC for the semester.   If a student wants a one-on-one tutoring session with a specific STRIVE tutor the student must fill out the QR code on the flyers hanging in the hallway and classrooms.   Once they fill out the form, a school counselor will contact them to set up an introduction meeting with a STRIVE tutor.   Monday, Friday and Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM, and Thursday AM STRIVE sessions are appointment only this semester.  Questions?  Contact Ms. Seehusen.


Columbus youth softball registration forms can be found in the office. These games are played at Bradshaw park.

If you are bringing a non CHS student to prom, you will need to complete the guest permission form. These forms are available in the office from Ms. Maass. They are due no later than Friday, April 12. In addition, please remember that fines must be paid and detention time below 180 minutes to attend prom. Questions, please see Ms. Maass. 

 


Attention, seniors. If you have NOT ordered your graduation items from Jostens yet, please see Mrs. Wallin ASAP. We are reaching a point that it is critical that your order is submitted in order to receive the items in time for the ceremony. 


Do you love math? If you want to show what you know, talk to your math teacher about attending the Wayne State College Math Competition on Friday, May 3. It will be a fun-filled day with numbers, problem-solving, and a free lunch!

Students: Columbus High School will be conducting the statewide ACT test for all CHS Juniors on April 9, 2024.  On April 10 and 11, all 9th and 10th grade students will take the statewide PreACT test.  Please see the schedule below.

Tuesday, April 9, 2024

  • Juniors take the ACT at CHS.

  • 9th, 10th and 12th grade students will not be attending school on this date.

  • Juniors should arrive at 7:30 AM so that testing can begin on time.

  • Juniors should make sure to keep their cell phones and smart watches at home.

  • Juniors will be dismissed at the conclusion of the ACT test.

  • Juniors will have a lunch period that is included in the testing schedule.

  • CHS will have a 2:35 PM dismissal.

  • 10th-grade students will take the PreACT test in the morning.  They will attend their afternoon classes as scheduled.

  • Just a reminder that Wednesday, March 27, is a 2:35 pm dismissal. No school on Friday, March 29 through Monday, April 1, for Easter break. School will resume on Tuesday, April 2, with a 3:40 pm dismissal.

  • For those students that have completed Health Science 1 and have interest in the summer CNA classes offered here at CHS, please attend a meeting after school in Ms. Kallhoff's room C-111 on Tuesday, April 2nd. Questions, please see Ms. Kallhoff.

Wednesday, April 3

  • CHS students in grades 10th, 11th and 12th are welcome to attend the field trip on April 4th to Kiewiet Luminarium in Omaha.  You can get a permission slip from Ms. Albracht, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Townsend or Mr. Schroder.  Space is limited for the opportunity and students who went in the fall cannot attend this spring trip.

  • JUNIORS AND SENIORS: If you plan to pre-order your prom tickets to save a few dollars, you must complete the order form AND pay for your tickets by the end of the day Friday, April 5. Check your email from Mrs. Kwapnioski or the post on Classroom for details.
