 STRIVE tutoring will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45-5PM in the IMC for the semester.   If a student wants a one-on-one tutoring session with a specific STRIVE tutor the student must fill out the QR code on the flyers hanging in the hallway and classrooms.   Once they fill out the form, a school counselor will contact them to set up an introduction meeting with a STRIVE tutor.   Monday, Friday and Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM, and Thursday AM STRIVE sessions are appointment only this semester.  Questions?  Contact Ms. Seehusen.


Columbus youth softball registration forms can be found in the office. These games are played at Bradshaw park. 


Any 9th or 10th grade student interested in Health Sciences, is welcome to attend the field trip on Friday, April 26th to UNMC-Norfolk campus.  This field trip will provide lunch, tour of the hospital, along with information about Health Science occupations.   Space is limited for this opportunity. See Ms. Seehusen for a permission slip.
 


Attention, seniors. If you have NOT ordered your graduation items from Jostens yet, please see Mrs. Wallin ASAP. We are reaching a point that it is critical that your order is submitted in order to receive the items in time for the ceremony.


If you are interested in a career in math, science or engineering, come to the field trip on April 17th to Kawasaki in Lincoln.  Learn about all the machines they build and what their career opportunities are after graduation.   If interested get a permission slip from Mr. Johnson, Ms. Albracht or Ms. Pelc.


Attention, seniors. Jostens will be here Wednesday, April 17, to distribute caps and gowns during your lunch period.


Do you love math? If you want to show what you know, talk to your math teacher about attending the Wayne State College Math Competition on Friday, May 3. It will be a fun-filled day with numbers, problem-solving, and a free lunch!


Students: Columbus High School will be conducting the statewide ACT test for all CHS Juniors on April 9, 2024.  On April 10 and 11, all 9th and 10th grade students will take the statewide PreACT test.  Please see the schedule below.

  • We are having a tour of 8th grade students from the Middle School on Monday, April 8th in the morning.  We are inviting them to have lunch with us at 11:20. Seniors will be finishing lunch and Juniors will be starting.  We will be reserving tables for them to eat together, close to the Concert hall.  If that is where you typically sit, please be prepared to sit elsewhere. Help us welcome the next class of freshman to CHS.
