The CPS Foundation Scholarship application is now available for 2025 graduates in their scholarship google classroom. CHS students please contact your school counselor if you do not have access to this google classroom. Applications are due January 14, 2025 by 4:30 pm.

Last Tuesday Jay Martin the DIrector of School Safety & Security for NDE was here in Columbus talking to students and parents about building a better digital culture. The senior football players rounded out their final season by thanking a special teacher who "Made an Impact" on them. Each senior was able to present their teacher with a t-shirt and tell them why they chose them as the person who made an impact on their high school years.

Meet homecoming candidate Alyn Estrada Morales!
Alyn is the Senior class Secretary, a Student Ambassador and a STRIVE tutor. She is in tennis, Key Club, HOSA, NHS, C-Club, Legacy and the Latino Leadership Group. Next year she plans to attend UNL to major in Physics and minor in Spanish. Following that, she plans to attend a two year program at UNMC for clinical perfusion to become a cardiovascular perfusionist.

Meet homecoming candidate Ayla Janssen!
Ayla is in volleyball, basketball, soccer, NHS, Student Council, FCA, and HOSA. She is on the Habitat for Humanity Campus Committee. Next year she plans to play college soccer at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. She is not sure of her major, but would like to pursue a career in the medical field.

Meet homecoming candidate Emily Mausbach!
Emily is a CHS cheerleader and helps with the Sparkle cheerleaders and CMS cheer. She also dances at Lynette’s Dance Studio. She is currently planning to attend UNL before transferring to UNMC to pursue her dream of becoming a Labor and Delivery Nurse.

Ryder participates in basketball, NHS, Key Club, C-Club, FCA, and the CHS evac team. He has not yet decided on a college, but plans to major in agriculture.

Abby participates in soccer, volleyball, basketball, NHS, Student Council, HOSA, C-Club, FCA, and Leadership and Ethics. She has not yet decided on a major, but next year she plans on attending Concordia University to play soccer.

Hailey is in Student Council, NHS, C-Club, FCA, volleyball, track, Leadership and Ethics, competitive dance, and the Trinity Lutheran Church youth group. Next year she plans to attend UNL to study nursing.

Meet homecoming candidate Duncan Rosno!
He is in New World Singers, Bakers Dozen, Musicals, Student Council, Tri-M, and is a senior class officer and a student ambassador. Next year he plans to attend UNO to study emergency management so that he can work with the Federal Emergency Management Agency coordinating disaster relief and recovery.

Meet homecoming candidate Izzie Daniels!
He is in cross country, track and field, FCA, and the Trinity Lutheran youth group. He is not sure yet where he will attend school next year, but would like to run the 400 in track. He plans to get a fire science degree and obtain EMT and paramedic certifications to become a firefighter.

Carter is involved in tennis and is a VolunTEEN for the community hospital. He has not yet decided on a college, but plans to study business and travel abroad.

Quenton is in football, basketball, baseball, NHS, C-Club, and the Peace Lutheran Church youth group. He has not yet decided on a college, but plans to play baseball and study optometry.
