If you and your family were not able to attend the book fair last night at Emerson Elementary, please join us TOMORROW, Thursday, February 19th, from 1:00 - 8:00 pm in Emerson's library.
A couple of third grade Student Council volunteers wanted to show you the different sections the book fair has to offer. We have sections such as: hardcover picture books, preschool books, get the facts books/kits, creative fun books & kits, libros en espanol, graphic novels, dragon themed books, and a even a "hot deals" section!
These students each picked out a book they'd like to recommend to others. The first student recommends the book 'I am Ingrid' because "other students can learn how guide dogs help people." The second student recommends the axolotl journal because "you can write down your thoughts and feelings, and if you feel sad it may help you to feel better."
These students also wanted to remind you about the teacher wish list section of the book fair. On the cards attached to the stand, the classroom teachers here at Emerson have written lists of books they would like purchased for their classroom. Families can purchase/donate these books directly to their child's classroom.
We hope to see you here at Emerson's Scholastic Book Fair!!

Some of Emerson's fourth grade student council students would like to invite you, the community, to come to our book fair TONIGHT from 4:00-8:00 pm in Emerson's library! These students recommend books such as: 'I Survived' graphic novel series for third and fourth graders because "they are full of action and they teach you how to survive earthly disasters; 'How to Save a Dolphin' for fourth graders "so they know how to help animals"; 'Lankybox Epic Adventures!' for kindergarteners "because they make funny YouTube videos for kids"; 'Wash Day Love' for "anyone with curly hair because it teaches you not to be ashamed of who you are and how you look"; and The Pigeon series books for kindergarten and first graders "because these books are on level for these kids and they are funny."
We hope to see you there!
