NP Fitbits

As we approach the middle of the Fall season, all kinds of things are happening around us. Leaves are falling, colors are changing, and the weather is turning cooler. High school football and volleyball are drawing to a close, the basketball and wrestling seasons are almost here, and the holiday season is nearly upon us! With November almost here, we have much to be thankful for!

Practicing gratitude, or focusing on the positive things that are happening in your life, can help improve your health! How do you practice gratitude?

·      Regularly use the words please and thank you

·      Write down something each day that you are thankful for

·      Give a compliment to someone every day!

In PE class, students have finished up Soccer skills and are currently working on Throwing/Catching skills. K-1 students are using a bean bag and a small round ball to learn proper throwing techniques, while grades 2-3-4 are using a football to further hone their skills. The students really seem to be having a lot of fun!

Current/upcoming PE units: Throwing/Catching skills; Jumping Rope; Volleyball

Body Trivia: How many times do you blink in a minute? About 10 times, on average.

Have a great November and Happy Thanksgiving!
