3rd Grade visited City Hall to learn about how the choices of people impact the community. Mayor Bulkley took our students on a tour of the Columbus Public Library as well as City Hall on the 3rd Floor of our Community Building!

West Park 2nd Graders celebrated their last week with their Rockin’ Readers. Our Rockin' Readers have come to read to us every Monday and we have loved getting to have them!
We will be cheering our Rockin' Readers on the rest of their season!
Go Discoverers!!

In the library today, our 3rd and 4th graders got to play "musical chairs" to preview our brand new books that are ready for the shelves. When the music played, they walked around (and danced). When the music stopped, they sat down and previewed the book at their chair. What a fun way to show off our new books and get kids interested.

Thank you, Ms. Lawrence for all that you do for West Park Elementary!

Please join us for an insightful presentation by Jay Martin, Nebraska Department of Education's School Safety & Security Director! Jay will share his expertise on the challenges that digital platforms, apps, and social media bring to schools and homes. With a wealth of experience - from national presentations and publications to real world insights from his time in law enforcement - Jay offers valuable guidance on how parents and students can cultivate digital wisdom for better mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being. Let's come together to create a safer, more positive digital environment in our school community!
