The 2nd annual CHS Statewide Spanish competition will be held at Columbus High School on March 16, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thirteen area high schools will be participating in this event. Admission is free and concessions will be offered. Areas of competition will be: poetry, drama, music, and art which are to commence at 9:30 a.m. Dance competition will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Hungry? Please consider supporting the Post Prom community fundraiser event at the Columbus Pizza Ranch on Monday, March 9, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. What a great way to support Post Prom with just a regular night of dining! Feel free to invite and share with friends. Dine any time during the time listed above.

No school for students beginning Monday, March 9 through Monday, March 16 for spring break and teacher professional development. Students will report on Tuesday, March 17 using the Tuesday bell schedule.

All parents who have students participating in track & field, baseball, boys' golf, soccer, and girls' tennis are encouraged to attend. Activities Director Tim Kwapnioski will have a short address, followed by comments from the CHS Booster Club, and Athletic Trainer Rob Marshall.
Parents will then go to meetings with their sport-specific coaches.
Attendance is not mandatory, but recommended, and student-athletes are welcome to attend.

CHS Theatre will run three performances of Quiet Summer, this year's Winter Play. Performances will be Friday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 7 at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. in the Nantkes Auditorium at Columbus Middle School. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for students, and a C-Stamp will get you in for free. Come enjoy the show!

The winter pep rally will be held on Wednesday, February 19th from 9:31 a.m. to 9:56 a.m
At the conclusion of period 5, students should go directly to the main gym. Students will sit in their assigned grade levels. At the conclusion of the pep rally, students will go to their sixth period class.
Parents and guests who would like to attend the pep rally, may arrive at 9:15 a.m. and sit on the southeast side of the gym.

Once Upon a Prom Dress will be held February 21st from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and February 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2200 25th Street, Columbus. This is a special free event for area high school girls. Each girl attending may bring one adult woman with her and must have a valid student ID.
Each girl attending may take at no cost: one dress, one pair of shoes and one set of accessories/makeup to complete her prom look. Attendees will also be entered into a drawing for either a hair style gift certificate or a corsage/boutonniere set.
Prior to the event, a dress drive will be held from 10:00 am to Noon on the northwest corner of Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 8th. New and gently used dresses, dress shoes, hair accessories, nail polish and handbags will be accepted. (Makeup is donated from independent beauty consultants in the area.)
