At 6:00 PM, our 7th & 8th grade choirs and Vocal Tech will take the stage in the auditorium. We’ll also have a sneak peek of our upcoming CMS musical, Newsies Jr.!

8th Grade
⭐️The 8 Silver Student of the Week is someone who is always focused and respectful. He comes to class ready to learn, and he is consistently on task. He asks thoughtful questions, follows directions the first time, and sets a great example for his classmates through his positive attitude and polite behavior. 7th Grade

6th Grade
⭐️The 6 Silver Student of the week is someone who is a quiet leader. This person is known to do his homework, stay on task, and be an overall standup human. He is always willing to help out when asked and does it with a smile on his face. Congratulations goes to Doran! Keep it up!
⭐️The Maroon 6 Student of the week is sweet, bubbly, and outgoing. She is responsible, kind to others, and always makes up any missed work. Her positive attitude brightens our classroom each day. We are proud to celebrate Adelene as our Maroon 6 Student this week! 🌟
5th Grade
⭐️This student is such a positive light to have in class. He cares about the effort he puts towards his work, and that is always reflected in what he does. He is such a respectful kid to have in class, and he is always asking questions to improve what he is doing. His light is reflected in the friendships he has and the joy he brings to class. ⭐️Our 5 Maroon student of the week always has the brightest smile. She actively participates in class discussions, completes her work on time, and asks great questions. Her friends can always rely on her to be there for them. We are so proud to have Torryn on our team! Congratulations!
Our 8th grade basketball team had a great but hard game against Westridge. Not every game ends in a win. Sadly, all of our teams lost, but they played really hard, supported each other, and never stopped competing. They stayed positive and played until the last buzzer. Even though they did not win, we are proud of how they played.

Our Art Club recently visited the Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art in David City, NE! Students enjoyed a guided tour and learned about the artists featured in the museum. It was a great opportunity to explore local art, history, and creativity outside the classroom.

Our 7th grade basketball team pulled off an impressive win against the Lakeview Vikings. 👏 The energy and hustle from start to finish were outstanding. We’re looking forward to their next game when we bring home another victory. 🙌 Go Discoverers! 🏀🔥
Our team’s win reflects the hard work they have been putting in at practice and how they have continued to grow as a team. Winning 27–24 against Lakeview, our team showed strong effort and teamwork throughout the game. They stayed focused, trusted each other, and worked hard until the last buzzer. A well-earned win and great performance by everyone.
Tuesday, our 7th grade basketball A, B, and C teams won against Grand Island, where our 7th graders had a grand slam, leaving Grand Island in the past! During this game, our C team won by 14, our B team won by 11, and our A team won by 25 points! Go CMS basketball and go Discoverers!
