Pyper puts her best effort into every assignment and always pays attention. In her free time, she enjoys reading and stays mindful of others still working. She also has a talent for crocheting, as seen in her lovely creations. 👏✨

The 8th-grade volleyball team played Monday night with the B team winning in the third set and the A team losing, but make sure you come to cheer them on today after school vs Norfolk 🏫🏐

The 7th grade language arts students are in the middle of their informative essays. They read new stories and used webs to brainstorm their ideas. They are making new connections between their stories and their own real life examples. Ask your student to give you an example of something that blurs the line between what is real and what is not!

This week in 8th grade students started our unit about the Constitution. Today we spent some time discussing the Preamble and constructing drawings to represent this portion of the Constitution.






It's Volleyball season at CMS, which means STUCO is in the concession stand popping popcorn and selling all the snacks!

Our first CMS Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 5:30 in the media center at CMS. Please use the front door to enter. All parents are welcome. Spanish translation is available. Please join us!


Flag Football for 6th graders starts at CMS this Thursday (8/22) after school.
Any 6th grader interested in playing can pick up an information packet before or after school on Wednesday or Thursday.

5 Maroon is so excited that recess has be added to our schedule this year!





School is underway. Seventh Grade Language Arts is already working hard studying facts about the importance of reading. Read something! Anything! Find new words and information! Ask your student which fact was most surprising.
