🔬 5th-grade scientists in action! 🔬 In science class, students explored how matter changes state by melting solids into liquids. They weighed the matter before and after the change and discovered that—even though the state changed—the weight stayed the same! 📊 Students then graphed their data to analyze their findings.

This student is arguably believed to have what it takes to be a start student in his class. He may be quiet and timid but his intelligence shines the brightest. He is very responsible and never leaves any tasks or activities unfinished. This young guy always makes sure that he's on top of his class. This student consistently arrives to class with a positive attitude and a strong eagerness to learn. She is a dedicated worker who always ensures that both she and her group have a clear understanding of the material. He’s the kind of student who listens carefully and quietly takes in all the information. Even if he doesn’t always speak up in class, when it’s time for tests or quizzes, he shows just how much he knows by doing really well. His steady focus and hard work have been paying off! We love having you in class, Jameson! ⭐️Grace is our 6th Maroon Student of the Week! She brings a positive and energetic vibe to our classrooms. She is willing to help others around her, a problem solver, and an all around great person. She has a great outlook on life and will ask additional questions if needed. She is on task and gets her assignments done while putting 100% of the effort into it. We are lucky to have her!

She's also always willing to answer questions and give thoughtful inside to the class. Thanks for doing your best, Lillian! ⭐️Javier Marino is our 6 Maroon Student of the week! Javier is a quiet leader who is always on task. Once he is done with his task, he will pull a book out to read or complete other homework. We appreciate all of the effort he has put in this year in 6th grade! His quiet focus contributes to a postive learning environment for himself and his peers. We are proud of you Javier!

At tonight's Board of Education meeting the BOE recognized Mrs. Joni Ebel on receiving the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). Congratulations, Mrs. Ebel we couldn't be more proud!

❄️ Making the best of these cold days with some fun indoor ALO time! ❄️ 5 Silver students had the opportunity to choose from a variety of engaging activities, including ping pong, learning to crochet, working on puzzles, and more. It's great to see them staying active and creative while staying warm indoors!

6th Grade Activity Night will be Friday, January 31st from 5:30-7:30. Admission is $3.00 or a donation of 2 canned food items. Students must have their CMS ID to enter. Parents, if you are willing to help supervise or donate snacks, water, or pizza money please contact Ms. Nilson or Ms. Harms.

On Wednesday, Mr. Solamillo's class wrote thank you letter's to their favorite teachers. What a great way to celebrate I Love Public School's Day!
