You ALL are Amazing! Look at all those donations towards the staff meal for tomorrow's Parent/Teacher Conferences! Please drop off your items in the school office by 3:15 and ask Ms Rawls for a donation form. If you are interested in donating an item, we could use more fruit! Thank you AGAIN!

Mrs. Schwartz's 1st graders enjoyed taking their learning from Science and applying it to the real world. We spent 21 days incubating 8 eggs, learning about how they develop, and candling the eggs to check for viability. 7 of the eggs hatched (2 happened during school!) and joined our class for over a week. The chicks were read to, checked on, visited by other classes, and observed growing wing feathers before going back home to Mrs. Jareske's farm.
Huge shoutout to North Park PTO for helping purchase the incubator for our classroom so students could experience this!

North Park PTO and Student Council will be providing a meal to the North Park Staff for Parent Teacher conferences on Tuesday, February 17th. We know so many of you like to help provide items for this meal. If you are interested in bringing any of the items listed in the graphic , comment below and please bring your item to school on February 17th by 3:15 PM! Thanks

In our school, we encourage every student to grow as a leader each day. Students take on daily leadership roles to help our classroom run smoothly and build responsibility, confidence, and teamwork. One of our Kindergartener's favorite traditions is having our Junior Teacher lead our morning meeting routine, helping classmates start the day focused and ready to learn.
We love watching our students step up, support one another, and discover that everyone has the ability to lead in their own way!

Mrs. Luedders' bunch creating erosion solutions for Tangier Island!

Last week students worked on social skills and created a presentation about understanding how their brain works when they face different situations. They practiced recognizing their thoughts, feelings and reactions.

Students worked on identifying coins through a puzzle activity. Learning can be interactive and fun while building confidence!

Our kindergarteners celebrated the end of their kings and queens reading unit with a royal tea party!
Throughout the unit, students learned about the roles kings and queens played long ago, how leadership worked in the past, and how royalty still exists in some places today. To celebrate their learning, students dressed in royal attire, created crowns, enjoyed a fancy tea party with juice and special snacks, and even learned how to waltz like royalty.
It was a wonderful way to bring history to life and celebrate all they learned during this royal adventure! 👑

Our kindergarteners had a 100-day celebration full of fun and learning! 🎉
Students made 100th-day crowns, counted Starbursts, discovered how many licks it takes to finish a lollipop, created 100-Fruit Loop necklaces, stacked 100 cups, completed 100 exercises, and even wrote about what they’ll do when they’re 100 years old.
What a fun way to celebrate 100 days of growing, learning, and exploring together! 💯

Ms. Branting's 2nd grade class was busy exploring wind erosion today! 💨💨

Look at these 2nd grade scientists! They investigated how wind causes erosion. We love science in 2L!

We love the focus that our students bring to the classroom!

In 2L, we made pipe cleaner butterflies. Then we flew them from flower (containing cornmeal for pollen) to flower (containing coffee for pollen). We were able to observe how the pollen fell off the butterfly and mixed into the next flower. Fun!

North Park PTO invites you to our Family Fun Night this Thursday. Come play some fun Christmas movie themed games, visit with Santa, and win a prize!
Our kindergarteners wrapped up their farm unit this week, and they’ve learned SO much! 🌾🐄 From cows, sheep, pigs, and chickens to the many crops farmers grow, they explored where our food really comes from and why a farmer’s job is so important. They even followed the journey of food from the farm all the way to our homes. Proud of these little learners and all their hard work!

3R learned about transparent and opaque light. They showed their learning by creating shadows against opaque backgrounds. Third graders are lighting the way to a bright future!

Our Kindergarteners have been hard at work and having fun this week! Students have been learning important math skills by playing the classic card game “War.”
Through this playful activity, they’ve been practicing number recognition, comparing numbers, understanding “greater than” and “less than,” and building turn-taking and teamwork skills—all while thinking they’re just playing a game!
We love watching them learn, laugh, and grow through hands-on activities like this. ❤️♣️♦️♠️ Great job, Kindergarteners! Keep up the amazing work!
