The Kindergarteners in Mrs. Goering’s class have officially been earning their Boost minutes for 9 weeks now, and their hard work is really showing! Each week they’ve been practicing their reading skills, growing more confident, and becoming strong, enthusiastic readers.

Their imaginary adventure toward the “treasure” has taken them through rolling waves, past a rumbling volcano, and now to a spot where they have caught some fish! To celebrate this milestone, Mrs. Bird, our principal, surprised them with special fish-themed pencils as their reward.

We are so proud of their dedication and the excitement they bring to reading each week. Keep it up, Kindergarteners—your treasure is getting closer and closer! 📚🐠✨

Our kindergarteners worked hard to honor the heroes who have served our country! They made special art projects, crowns, and heartfelt cards to say “thank you” to our veterans. We’re so proud of their creativity and gratitude today and every day. ❤️🤍💙

Thank you to the local businesses that donated supplies and volunteers to help with the 4-H Stem Day. First graders had fun learning about force, aerodynamics, light and vortex cannons. We also had the opportunity to sit in a portable planetarium from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and the Edgerton Explorit Museum to learn more about the sun and moon. This was great information that we can refer back to as we discuss Patterns in the Sky for Science in 3rd quarter.

Thank you Platte County 4-H Extension office for inviting us to this event! We can't wait for another event like this next year!

🌼 Busy Bees in Kindergarten 🐝 Our kindergarten students have been learning all about plants and how they grow! This week, we explored the amazing process of pollination — how flowers, seeds, and even bees work together to help plants grow and reproduce. To make our learning come to life, students got to act out the process of pollination! Some students became buzzing bees, flying from flower to flower, while others were the flower sharing their pollen. It was adorable to watch them take on their roles and truly understand how important bees are for our world. 🌸💛 Hands-on learning like this helps our students connect reading and science to the world — and have a little fun along the way!

Mrs. Bouc's kindergarten students had the opportunity to act out stories they have learned throughout this unit. By stepping into the roles of different characters, they practiced retelling key events, using expressive voices, and using creativity to build their stories.

They also reviewed their skills in a fun and engaging way by tossing pom poms into cups and shining flashlights to find mystery sounds.

PICTURE RETAKES are TOMORROW! If you would like to replace your student’s original photo with a retake , simply have the student bring back their original package and turn it in to the photographer on retake day. Inter-State will fulfill their new order at no charge and send it back to the school for distribution.

Any student who missed the original photo day should attend retakes and can order online @ INTER-STATE.COM/ORDER and use the code 0094HKU. Orders placed using the retake day order code will ship in bulk to the school with no added shipping cost.

If parents wait and use their student-specific code (available ~3 days after retakes), those orders will incur shipping and be sent to their home address. Please call the office with any questions!
