PICTURE RETAKES are TOMORROW! If you would like to replace your student’s original photo with a retake , simply have the student bring back their original package and turn it in to the photographer on retake day. Inter-State will fulfill their new order at no charge and send it back to the school for distribution.

Any student who missed the original photo day should attend retakes and can order online @ INTER-STATE.COM/ORDER and use the code 0094HKU. Orders placed using the retake day order code will ship in bulk to the school with no added shipping cost.

If parents wait and use their student-specific code (available ~3 days after retakes), those orders will incur shipping and be sent to their home address. Please call the office with any questions!

Mrs. Rodriguez's class filled their star jar yesterday for the first time this year! The students earn a star everytime the entire class is following the school rules with no reminders. They got to have a glow dance party today to celebrate!!! Way to go KR!

The Kindergarten students in Mrs. Goering’s class were super excited about their ocean-themed tattoos! 🐠🌊 They earned these fun rewards by meeting their Boost minutes for three weeks in a row.

Boost is our district's elementary reading app that connects students directly to the reading program and helps them practice and reinforce their reading skills. 📚✨

At our school, we are working toward a big goal: if 100% of students in a class meet their Boost minutes for the week, the class' ship moves one step closer to the island! We have a big hallway display that allows the students to track where their class’ ship is, and every three steps, there is a special celebration. These tattoos marked one of Mrs. Goering's Kindergarten milestones. Way to go, readers! 🚢🎉

Our kindergarteners are exploring their five senses! Earlier this week they got to ‘smell the rainbow’ with a fun Jell-O activity 🍓🍋🍇 They loved guessing the different scents while learning how our sense of smell helps us experience the world around us. 🌈👃

Our Kindergarten artists dove into the story of The Rainbow Fish! 🐠✨They learned about how to be a kind friend, explored colors, and strengthened their fine motor skills while creating their own shimmering masterpieces.

🍎✨Apple Day in kindergarten was a success! Our students explored the parts and life cycle of an apple, peeled and cooked apples into homemade applesauce, and even did a taste test of sweet, sour, salty, and bitter flavors. What a fun (and tasty!) way to use our sense of taste while learning about apples and our five senses!

📚🏈 Our class loves Thursdays because that’s when our “Rockin’ Reader” from CHS comes to visit! Each week, one of the football players joins us to read stories and spend time playing with the students. 💙

It is such a joy to see the kids light up with excitement, and we are so thankful for these positive role models who inspire our students both in and out of the classroom. 🌟
